The JDR Group were delighted to take part in the Turn your Friday Pink Campaign on Friday 25th October, in support of the Breast Cancer Care Charity. Thousands of people and businesses have taken part throughout October as part of the Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The whole of the JDR Group’s Office took part, wearing bright pink clothes and costumes as well as baking pink cakes to raise money for this important Charity. Breast Cancer Awareness is a charity which has always been supported by the JDR Group. The Race For Life Campaign this year raised over100. This year the JDR Group has successfully raised over 60 through ‘Wear it Pink Day’ to help raise vital funds for the Breast Cancer Care Charity. This is also an annual fundraising event for the JDR Group.
The Breast Cancer Care Charity provide a range of support mechanisms, to help support Breast Cancer sufferers and their families. These support mechanisms and medical funding are improved all the time thanks to people joining forces to raise vital funds. Breast Cancer Care organise a range of events each year in order to raise money for the charity. Key events include; local fundraising events, catwalk shows, strawberry tea parties, big pink bucket collections. They have also introduced fundraising competitions such as FAB1 Million inspired by Thunderbirds, where you have the chance to hire a pink Rolls-Royce Ghost, with the competition entry funds all going to the charity. The primary focus of the competition being to achieve a fundraising target of 1 million for the charity.
